Private shot the flower the moment it poped up thinking it hostile. The petals burst all around them. "Get low. It might be a trap." She droped to her knee pointing her gun up and down both sides of the beach. Then she looked into the forest...What was that? There was something odd about that part of branches. She foucsed alittle longer and saw eyes...It was a person. The wind witch lied! There were inhabitants. How could she have missed it? "Watch out...It's a trap." She got to her feet running towards the figured in the trees. "Come out where I can see you!"

Lyn groaned. She knew Kila was harmless, but this ditz didn't. Lynorie pulled Private's arm, away from the trees. "That's just a flower, and that's just a person. Unarmed. Now, mind the others while I have a chat, will you?" Shaking her head, the gril dissapeared into the foliage. "We have to put them somewhere harmless."she hissed into the shadows.

"you bring them into that forest, I'm not going to save their butts," she replied, "Take them anywhere you want, but you know to stay away the center of the island." She looked over to the girl who had just threatened her, "Make sure she doesn't scare the animals, I don't think they're going to react well to gun shots."

'There's something in that forest,' Jules noted to himself, looking over to where Lynorie had disappeared. Maybe it was someone to help them, or it could be something to hurt us, he added after thinking about it. He really didn't like not knowing his surroundings, but the forest he wasn't sure if he wanted to know. He had figured out the beach by now, and was fairly content where he was.

He knew there was something in that forest! He would have gone over to see what it was, but for one Lynorie had already gone over there, surely a gifted would be able to protect themselves, if not....... second, he really didn't want to cross this Private girl, who a, had a gun, and b, would know why he wanted to check it out. He would just have to wait and find out what it was over there.

Lyn frowned. "Alright. I'll lead the along the beach, then. I really don't want to deal with these people any longer than is necessary." With a quick wave to Kila, Lyn flew back over to the group. Arms crossed, she surveyed the humans with a scowl. "You guys are more trouble than you're worth. We're gonna have to go along the beach. You are not welcome in the forest."

Kika looked over the group. She wasn't sure who she could trust, she knew Lyn fairly well already, but she didn't appear to fascinated with the group. She knew she would have to make a connection with one of them, soon. She looked back toward the center of the island, seeing the familiar large bellow of smoke pour into the sky. she knew she had no time.

Private just glared at Lynoria. "Fine. You all go along the beach. I'm going through the forest and getting my bareings on the highground. You can stay behind if you like. But you've got to chose who is more trust worthy. Some windy witch who scared you first and probley wouldn't awnser your questions. Or me who, like you, is stranded here and has no idea whats going on at all." She then began her determined march towards the forest. That windy witch wasn't going to stand in her way.

David shook his head at Private, but didn't stand in her way. He could tell this "windy witch" may be a gifted, but she knew the island better than all of them. Plus there was that person she was speaking to in the forest. If it was a person, he still had no clue what it was that was in the bushes. He would rather stay on the beach, where he could see what was around him, where he felt safe.

Lyn scowled at Private. Windy witch indeed. "Very well then."she snapped. "Go into the forest, try to protect yourself with a gun that has scarcely enough ammo for one night. Completely disregard my warnings, despite the fact that I know the layout of this island and you don't." She grit her teeth, trying not to grab Private by the shoulders and shake her vigorously. "For one trained in the army, you have a serious lack of common sense."

Seeing the girl marching toward her, Kika quickly climbed a tree trying to get out of her sight. It was obvious she disregarded Lyn's warnings. She just hoped the girl would be safe. Kika knew very well that if that gun went off in the forest, many animals and predators would come running to the sound.

Private saw movement... The windy witch was talking to someone! That someone was in the trees. She ran into the forest and began climbing the tree with Kika in it. "You there! Stay where you are." Private now had a good veiw of the girl. She was kind of cute. She blinked her eyes trying to dislodge the distracting thoughts.

"I do not think you are the one to be giving orders to me," Kika said in slightly broken English, "After all, I know much more of this island." She would not be threatened by this girl. If the girl wanted to go into the forest, that was her problem, but she would not make a fool of Kika. Actually there was a part of her that felt sorry for the girl, the animal on this island did tend to be protective of those who protected them. Kika and her mother knew that. She kept glancing to the forest, hoping something wouldn't come out of it.

Deep in the forest, a large creature lurked absolutely silently. Its shoulders were hunched as it walked on all fours, even with its legs being much longer than its arms. On its face a snarl was pasted, as if it was looking for blood. It was, all the creatures on the island would be, they knew there was new meat here, and they were on the hunt. the creature looked as if it were straight out of a science fiction movie, most creatures of the island did. It was yellow, it had no fur, only skin. It had short arms, and huge fists, almost like a gorilla. it had large blunt bangs jutting out from the bottom of its mouth, and it had small eyes. Its legs looked like a frogs, ready to spring. the creature had no official name, as no one from the outside world knew of it. But those on the island began to call it Hjudka. ((0oc: No meaning, couldn't think of a name))

Kika looked to the forest, knowing what was lurking in the shadows. Ignoring the girl in the tree, she jumped to the ground she hurried into the forest, stopping in front of the animal. She spoke to it in some foreign tongue, which was actually Atlantean, trying to tell it to stop and calm down. The animal ignored her as she said this, she knew it was hungry, all the animals were. She knew that nothing she would say could stop them from hunting. She stood between the creature and the beach, knowing in order to protect the island in the long run, she would have to protect these people now, even if it meant hurting this animal.

A little way off the shore, a girl clung to a rock. The waves splashing in her face, she closed her eyes to protect them from the salt water. She lay her head on the rock, trying to conserve as much energy as she could before swimming to shore. She already hated water, she always had, but now she felt as though if all the water in the world were to disappear she would be the happiest girl in the world. She trusted in the waves and her strength as she let go of the rock, swimming to shore as best as she could. She wasn't the best swimmer in the world, and being half cat didn't help with the whole water thing. As she reached the shore, she lay down in the sand, exhausted from being stuck out at sea for nearly an hour. She didn't even notice the large group of people down the shore until a couple of minutes later.

As he looked down the beach, David could see yet another person land on the island. 'At least I won't be lonely,' he thought to himself. "Look," he spoke to the group, "Someone else is down there. I'm going to see if she's OK." He walked over to her without another word to the group. "Are you OK?" he asked her, and saw that she was half cat. 'Don't see that everyday.'

"I'm fine," she replied sitting up, "Just a little water logged, that's all." Her clothing was soaked. Her black tank top had been ripped to reveal her stomach, and her black shorts had been frayed. She put a hand through her soaking wet black hair, and looked at the boy. "You're not one of them from that lab are you?" She didn't want to risk being caught by one of those numbskull's, she knew they would only take her back to the lab to be experimented on once again.

"I don't think so," he said wondering to himself what lab she was talking about. Whatever she meant, he had to keep in mind that she was one of them, those scum, the gifted. He didn't see how they were gifted. Most of them abused their powers. They didn't deserve to have them. Those abilities would better be suited for the people who would use them for the betterment of the world, not those who murdered a young boy's family. Without a word he began to walk toward the group once again, at least those people seemed normal.

"So you're just going to leave me here?" she asked, pulling herself up. she followed him. "Don't think you can get rid of me that easily," she stated, she then saw the group up ahead, "This is just a party huh?" She wondered how they got here. She wished she didn't know how she got here. But she remembered everything about it. She was being transported to another lab on an island near here, and while most of the crew was sleeping, she found that she was able to get out of her restraints. Of course by the time she had figured out how to escape the boat, they had woken up, but she quickly moved herself to the side of the boat, desperate to escape them. As they closed in on her, she flipped herself overboard. While in the water she knew they would just look for her, so she the closest rock she could find upon diving underwater, and threw it against the propeller. She still wasn't sure if her trick had been able to fool them, but she was away from those scumbags for the moment, and that's all she cared about.
