It wasn't everyday David Carrero woke up with sand in his mouth. That was the first clue that he wasn't safe at home. Opening his eyes, which felt like they were two ton weights, he could see that he was in fact on a beach. He sat up looking around, not having a clue where he was. As his head cleared, everything started coming back to him. A storm, the boat sinking, a small piece of wood carrying him to the island, and those gifted scum. As he tried to stand, he felt sharp pain shoot up his left leg. He looked down to see a large gash going up the side of of, which had cut right through his pant leg. How had that happened? He still couldn't quite remember. It was coming back to him, but slowly. He looked down the beach, and couldn't see anyone else. Had he been the only one to survive? But it looked like a long beach, they could be miles away. He laid down, looking up at the sky. How was he going to get himself out of this one? And if there were anymore gifted, how would he survive them? They knew who he was, everyone of them that had been on the boat. They would recognize him, and with his leg so badly hurt, he wasn't sure if he could survive on his own.

Peering through the trees, Kika could see another male 'visitor' to the island. She liked to keep a mental log of who was on the island. He looked to be human, although she had found that many gifted people crashed on the island as well. They could be fairies, elementals, and much much more. That was another sort of log she kept, species. It was interesting to see what kinds of people crashed on the island, figure out their secrets, secrets that no one else would know, and then watch them leave, however that may be. So far her log contained only his information, not that she would need to write it down. She had a very good memory. Log: One male, human.

David spun his upper body around, swearing he heard something. He peered into the darkness of the forest that stood behind him, but saw nothing. He shook away his thoughts of suspicion, it was probably just some animal. Then again, if it was it could probably hurt him. With his leg, he wouldn't be able to get it away. He had to keep his senses up, he had to be alert at all times.

Kika smiled to herself. 'Such a suspicious suspicious creature he is,' she thought, covering her face with a branch, thick with leaves. She continued to watch him, as she had not much else to do. She noticed his leg, which looked very badly beaten. Perhaps she could help him..... if she were to even let him know she was on the island. She had only shown herself to one person before, after her mother had died. They had grown close, but he left her, and it wasn't because he was rescued. That was the first person who crashed on the island to die. She missed him almost every day. The strange thing about the island was, it seemed to be a magnet for people. People who needed a life change always seemed to crash on the island. And she noticed one thing, either their lives were changed by the Island, or the Island took their lives. It was a sad fact, but a fact none the less.

A strange looking boy crawled down the sandy shore, looking down at the soft ground beneath him. He was looking for something, that was obvious. After going just a bit futher that he was, he heard a crunch underneath his knee. He swore, pulling his now destroyed glasses from underneath him. He put them up to his face, seeing that in fact the beach now contained a small pile of broken glass, and his glasses' frames were empty. He looked up, seeing something blurry in the distance, not sure if he should approach it or not. It could be someone else, but the chances of that happening were very slim. It was most likely some animal, so he had the choice of running away from it, or staying put in hopes it wouldn't see him. He squinted, trying to make out what exactly it was that he was looking at, but all he could see was a small patch of bright red somewhere on top of it.

As David looked over his shoulder, he was shocked to see someone else crawling across the beach. It was possible that the person had been on the boat that had sunk, but he thought he knew everyone on the boat. What were the chances someone else would be on this island that hadn't crashed from his boat? He looked over at them, glaring as he was not sure if they were some gifted scum or not. Until he could figure that out, he would stay put.

Kika smiled, seeing another male crawling along the beach. He looked much more pathetic, she knew he wouldn't make it, unless he had some help. Good thing he wasn't the only one on the Island, or else he wouldn't be too good off. She noticed something, you could be the smartest person in the world, but unless you had some strength, you were done for. Log: Two males, both possibly human.

David stifled a laugh, the boy looked completely lost sitting there. It was as if he were trying to avoid something. He shook his head, even if the boy was gifted, it was obvious he had no sense about him. Giving in to his higher instincts, David pulled himself up, and slowly made his way over to the boy. "Hi," he said awkwardly, "Were you on the boat?" He knew the boy would be terrified of him if he had in fact been on the boat, if he was gifted. David had been known on the ship, and it wasn't exactly good. He was cruel, ruthless, and didn't care about the gifted scum.

The first human had pulled himself up, and made contact with the other. They both looked scared, and she smiled at that. She figured they wouldn't last long here, if you didn't believe you would make it, you wouldn't. She knew how quickly the weather could change around here. On this island, that was more literal than most places. Just yesterday she was sweating to death from a wave of heat, and today was cool and beautiful. It usually was people first gt on the Island, they never suspected anything off, until their next day. It was as if the Island had a mind of its own, like it knew what to hand out to the people who landed on it. Warm the first day, unpredictable the second.

From high in the branches of a palm tree, Lynorie watched the goings-on below with a grin. New arrivals to the island were always terribly confused, and Lyn was notorious for playing pranks on the unsuspecting. She rested her hands on her knees, and took a deep breath as her body slowly melded into the warm breeze. If she'd had a body, she would have been grinning evilly. The gust of wind that was Lyn circled the boy sitting on the sand, whispering ominously. Nonsense words, soft as the leaves rustling, but loud enough to confuse.

David looked around, again he swore he heard something. This time however it was more obvious. Perhaps there was something on this island. In a habit of defense he went to his belt and pulled out a small dagger. He was surprised to find it still there, he had expected it to be lost in the ocean after the boat sank. But looking around he saw nothing, and even if he could see into the forest, he figured he wouldn't see anything in there. If there was something in there, it would have come out by now.

"Yeah," he said, believing the man before him was speaking of his school's small boat, "I didn't think anyone else fell off." He stopped after saying that. Something was on this island. He heard someone else speaking around them, but no one was in sight. He doubted that anyone would have any technology on this island. Not any microphones and anything that would let the two of them hear this person without being in sight. Then again, there could be many people all around him without him knowing it with his current vision.

Ghostly laughter echoed around the males as Lyn swirled through the sand around them. Gods, this was fun! Perhaps she should leave a message in the sand...no, too obvious. IT was fine as is. "Oh dear, a dagger."she murmured into the standing humans ear. "Should I be afraid?" She followed the question up with a taunting giggle.

"I would be," he announced hearing the voice in his ear. God, he was going crazy. This kid probably was thinking just that, he was speaking to no one! Well it had to be somebody, how else would he be hearing that voice? Unless he was actually going crazy, possibly too much swallowed salthingyer. But did this other boy hear the voice? He did seem scared, yet again, he David was drawing his dagger after approaching him. He really was losing it.

Kika giggled, still hiding in the forest. She had heard this person around the Island, she usually made a point to avoid her. She wasn't exactly a people person. Something about living alone for most of your life that makes you somewhat reserved. Seeing the dagger she took a step back, even knowing that he didn't even know she was there, but it was still intimidating to her. she had seen people take up many weapons upon thinking someone was there, not that they found her, it still worried her. She had no idea of what they were capable of.

Lynorie giggled once more. Geez, the guy probably thought he was going mad! "Yes, but you have a physical form that can be injured, don't you. Think you could stab a hole in the breeze?"she asked rhetorically, circling the dagger in his hand. If she wound tight enough, maybe she could pull the knife right away from him. That'd really send him off screaming-a perfect welcome to the island. Cruel? Yes. Unethical? Certaintly. Funnest thing she'd ever done? Pretty close.

"Would be what?" Jules asked standing up. He could just barely make out the outline of some metal, he figured it was some sort f weapon. "W-why do you have that?" Was this guy dangerous, truthfully he knew nothing about him, he could be a murderer. What if he was? No one would ever know what had happened to him. Anyone could kill him out here.

Private heard voices on the beach after marching threw the forest, looking for shelter. She thought mabye it was more people from her troupe. She brust through the trees and seeing they were not military, and one wielding a wepon, decided that she should take charge of them to help herself survive. "You there drop the wepon." She reached to the gun she kept on the back of her shirt. It only had five shots left but that was enough. "Leave him be. We all need to work together if we are to survive this place. Since neither of you seem quallifed I am takeing charge. We need to find shelter and gain our bareings by getting to the highground. The central peak of the island seems suitable. We will also need to tend your leg." She may only have been a private from what she could rember, but these were civillans. She would help them survive becase she couldn't do it on her own. But one seemed to be a weakling and by the glasses most likely near blind. The other might be a homositle mainac with a wounded leg. Not very usefull allies.

Kika looked at the new one to join the group, this one also yielded a weapon, but she knew this weapon was far more dangerous than the other. She saw how large the little group was getting, well large for being stranded on an island at least. It seemed odd to her that all of them would crash here at the same time. She could tell that they were not crashed from the same place, but never before had she seen three individual crashlings. Perhaps they were here to help her, maybe she could finally save this Island.
Log: 3 humans, 2 male, 1 female.

"Who exactly do you think you are?" David asked turning to face the newcomer, but seeing she had a weapon, and one much more deadly than his, he placed his dagger back in his belt. Whoever t was messing with him, they were right, stabbing at thin air wouldn't help anybody. He looked down at his leg, he had almost forgotten that it had been hurt. this island was getting more and more odd every second.
